{"id":1246,"date":"2019-05-05T21:09:48","date_gmt":"2019-05-05T21:09:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/retroramblings.net\/?p=1246"},"modified":"2019-05-05T21:09:48","modified_gmt":"2019-05-05T21:09:48","slug":"megadrive-genesis-core-ported-to-chameleon-v2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/retroramblings.net\/?p=1246","title":{"rendered":"Megadrive \/ Genesis core ported to Chameleon V2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>2019-05-05<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s an initial port of the <a href=\"http:\/\/retroramblings.net\/snapshots\/fpgagen_chameleonv2_20190505.zip\">Sega Megadrive \/ Genesis FGPA core to Chameleon V2 hardware.<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note, this is specific to V2 hardware &#8211; do not attempt to flash this core to V1 hardware. <\/strong> There are no improvements to the existing V1 core, it&#8217;s merely a port of the existing version and doesn&#8217;t yet incorporate upstream improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The on-screen display is toggled with F12, and gamepads can be emulated using either the CDTV control pad (port 1 only, buttons A and Start are mapped to volume down and volume up, respectively) or a PS\/2 keyboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the PS\/2 keyboard, port 1&#8217;s controls are Cursor Up\/Down\/Left\/Right, Right Ctrl, Right Alt, Right Shift and Enter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Port 2&#8217;s controls are W, S, A, D, Left Ctrl, Left Alt, Left Shift and Caps Lock.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2019-05-05 Here&#8217;s an initial port of the Sega Megadrive \/ Genesis FGPA core to Chameleon V2 hardware.
