{"id":249,"date":"2012-11-16T20:42:01","date_gmt":"2012-11-16T20:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/retroramblings.net\/?p=249"},"modified":"2012-12-27T10:46:32","modified_gmt":"2012-12-27T10:46:32","slug":"db9s-and-matrix-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/retroramblings.net\/?p=249","title":{"rendered":"DB9s and Matrix Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One thing I&#8217;ve always found annoying when working with DB9s is that the staggered pins makes them incompatible with matrix board.\u00a0 The simplest solution has always been to just put the DB9 on the end of a cable, and either solder the cable directly to the board, or use a box header, which has parallel rows of pins.<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago I was hit with a flash of inspiration &#8211;
