FPGA-based CPUs

My experiments with FPGA-based microprocessors have included:

  • A System-on-Chip based around Tobias Gubener’s TG68K
  • A new variant of the ZPU (Zylin Processing Unit), called ZPUFlex – and a SoC around it.
  • A new ISA, CPU and toolchain, EightThirtyTwo.
